Now that summer is in full swing, there are a few things going on that may make your trips a little tougher. The water temperatures are up and hot. The water levels at this time of year are usually low too. So what Bass Fishing Lures would you want to use. Well the 11 inch worm is always affective as well as the Halo jig. I have found that after a morning top water bite, that you really need to slow down and coax them into action. I like throwing a weightless 5 inch Trick Stick or even a Wacky Jack around deep docks and cover. It takes a while for the Wacky Jack to get down but it is tempting them the whole way.
Try it and see how it works.

Good luck!
Fishing this time of the year can be a mixed bag when it comes to weather, water and results. The more prepared you are for the weather and water usually the better your results. This can all change with one cold front though. A sudden drop in temperatures will slow everything down. Just like a good old fashion thunderstorm that we get so frequently this time of year. If you are fishing under those conditions, I have always found it better to SLOW DOWN and down size to a small jig or shaky head style presentation with a finesse worm. It can take a couple of days for the bass to settle back into their regular mode after a front comes through (which usually happens on the weekend that I am fishing).
Have fun - remember you are fishing!
First, I would like to welcome you to the blog.
I am not sure what phase you are in in your area, but here in the midwest Missouri to be more precise we are in the middle of spawn. If you are in the northern part of the state then you are just getting started because the water temperatures have not come up the way they need to. We are however on a nice warming trend and the full moon is coming in again.
One of may favorite pre spawn and even post spawn baits would be the 6 inch lizard. I really enjoy Carolina Rigging the Lizards. Another Favorite would be the tube if they are on the beds.
